About Kate Kate has been taking photographs since she was 7 years old! Her preoccupation has always been with photographing people, young or old in their own environments. It is this which has led her to her specialising in lifestyle portraiture and wedding and event photography. For many years Kate took photos simply for her own pleasure and that of her friends, pursuing a career in advertising, television and the leisure industry. However, at the insistence of one of those friends she began to take wedding and portrait commissions and her business has grown steadily ever since. Having two children of her own has given her a special affinity for child portraiture and having been a Bride herself – albeit quite a while ago! – understands the effort, passion and creativity that goes into the organisation and coordination of a wedding and reflects this in her approach to covering the day. Recording the details of the wedding for the Bride is particularly important to Kate: the shoes, flowers, table settings and of course the venue. Clients are delighted with the way her photography captures not just the story but the spirit of the day as well.
